Beijing SunwayWorld Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "SunwayWorld") has successfully signed a contract lately with Xi'an Food and Drug Inspection Institute (hereinafter referred to as "XAFDI") to assist the construction of the latter’s Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The construction and application of LIMS will bring in new thought and new ideals concerning laboratory information management into XAFDI.

Project Background

Xi'an Food and Drug Inspection Institute aims to provide technical support for food and drug quality supervision and management in Xi'an. It undertakes the supervision and inspection of drug quality in pharmaceutical production, operation enterprises and medical institutions, entrusted inspection of drug quality, as well as training and guidance of technicians. With the increasing of inspection tasks, laboratory is in urgent need of effective information management, so as to revise the original management system, optimize the working process and reform the management mode of the lab in order to improve the overall external service image and lay a solid foundation for passing the international laboratory accreditation in the future.

Project Construction

Relying on SunwayWorld’s abundant informatics construction experience in food and drug inspection and testing industry and advanced technology, an intelligent inspection and testing integrated laboratory information management platform for XAFDI will be established. Through the business process management, laboratory electronic notebook (ELN), instrument data collection management, laboratory comprehensive resource management, quality assurance and quality control management, customer service platform (CSS), mobile application, statistical analysis and other functions, the system comprehensively covers all areas and types of inspection and testing business of Xi'an Food and Drug Inspection Institute. It significantly improves the efficiency of food and drug inspection and testing in the laboratory, helps Xi'an Food and Drug Inspection Institute to realize integrated laboratory management, and lays a solid foundation for Xi'an Food and Drug Inspection Institute to promote the construction of laboratory informatization, improve the level of inspection business informatization management, and enhance work efficiency and standardization.
